status update

Well, it has been a while since my last post. So here I give some recent updates and later I will come up with more details.

Life:
Of course, life is not tough to me, but it is not easy either… Why? Well, it is mainly because all these three to four months, I’ve been having little life but always work… However, I still found my way to SuZhou with my girl friend for the National Holiday. And I was honored to be able to attend CLSF (China Linux Storage and Filesystem workshop) and CLK (China Linux Kernel Developer Conference). I have a full summary but I just have not found time to consolidate it into a blog. I will write about it later.

Linuxfb.org meeting still happens regularly. We have some very good topics and I personally learned a lot from them.

Ah, BTW, I learned to skate during Christmas and I am going to ski next week :)

Work:
I am lucky and honored to be hired by EMC and working with tons of talents here. In the past a few months, I’ve been seeing several very nice/warmhearted/experienced/smart/talented people leaving. And that made me feel sad. Maybe it is just what work is. I think I still need some time to figure it out.

I’ve been working on both pNFS and MPFS for some time and I felt kind of difficult for me to keep my attention to both of them. And finally my manager noticed this and spared from pNFS for about one month. He is a good guy and I know I own him a lot. I will do my best to make sure I do not let him down.
